From the dock at the lakehouse we rented for the week.  Pretty nice base of operations.

No new photos today, so this seemed like a good post-July 4th archive choice.

Hanging around the house today getting ready for July 4th celebration, so not out taking photos.  Here are a few more from Eastsound a couple weeks ago.

This ought to brighten things up a bit.  And maybe add some oxygen.

We got to visit the San Juan Islands, specifically Orcas Island, for the first time just a week or two ago.

In the first place, the view from our rental was amazing.  The bird songs were also pleasant and relaxing.

And on that first day we suddenly noticed this out the window.

This was the brightest, most complete rainbow I’ve ever seen.  It was actually a double rainbow, with a dim one to the right of this one.

Carrying my camera around makes me keep my head up and pay attention to the interesting and often lovely things around me.
